In 1992, Patricia Laigneau and her husband were not looking to buy a castle. They were looking for a country house. It was a medieval ruin hidden behind a curtain of brambles in Indre-et-Loire that changed everything.

Thirty years later, Rivau Castle has become a unique place: a restored historic monument, an art hotel, 15 themed gardens covering 6 hectares, including an impressive rose collection.

In this episode, Patricia shares what it means to live in such a place and to bring it to life. Interiors inspired by medieval iconography: wood paneling, Gothic fireplaces, taborets, and window seats… As well as gardens designed for biodiversity, fragrance, and wonder. And every summer, contemporary works of art.

Exhibitions that reflect the dynamics of Rivau: a dialogue, rooted in the place, between past and present.
